Mr. Ravi Saxena

 

An IAS of the 1978 batch, Ravi Saxena last served as the Additional Chief Secretary – Department of Science & Technology, Govt of Gujarat. He has held various managerial assignments in the Public Sector Undertakings of Central and State Government. He contributed to the development of the industrial and economic infrastructure of Gujarat State as the chief of Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation, Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board and Development Commissioner of SEZs.

 

He has effectively managed rescue, relief and disaster mitigation work on various occasions including the 2001 Gujarat Earthquake and various natural disasters and riots that broke out in the state. He has conceptualised and founded various organisations during his career, for effective working of the departments he headed. He is passionate about harnessing the power of Information Technology and has been pursuing use of IT in governance, right from the beginning of his career. He has many firsts to his credit in the area of eGovernance.

 

He is a champion of Digital Empowerment and cautions that ICT revolution is creating a schism between the digitally connected and those who are deprived, which may be dangerous for society. He believes that by bridging the digital divide, the society will gradually move towards holistic inclusion where the health, education, food, drinking water, sanitation, housing and livelihood issues of the underserved will also get addressed. He has been advocating the need to spread the power of IT amongst the people at the bottom to ensure delivery of intended benefits to them.

 

He has also been relentlessly campaigning for consolidation of Government IT infrastructure for the entire country which should result in a Unified Government Cloud Structure.

He is a futurist who not only has the ability to think ahead of times but also demonstrates the confidence to promote and share his revolutionary ideas as actionable, distilled insights.

He leaves his mark by devising resolute systems and frameworks resulting in instinctive resolution of persistent issues. He has accomplished several milestones that few could envisage. He has been awarded severally for the contributions he has made in the field of eGovernance and IT development within the State of Gujarat.

Mr. Param Shah

 

Currently Heads the Gujarat State Council of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI). He started his career as an Academician and has been associated with H L College of Commerce, Ahmedabad; N R Institute of Business Management (GLS – MBA); ICFAI University as a Faculty in Finance and Corporate Laws and also as an academic advisor He was the Deputy Secretary General of the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

 

He is on the Central Regional Committee of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), statutory body and a national-level council for technical education, under Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development. He is the Past President of Gujarat & North Gujarat Universities Management Teachers’ Association.

 

He has been nominated by the Ministry of Shipping Govt. of India on the Advisory Board of the Kandla Port Trust, Gujarat. He is also on the Board of various Government, Semi – Government and Non – Government Organization in various capacities. He has contributed several articles on various issues of management and law in national and international journals.

He has also been invited as a speaker to National & International Conference on various topics.

 

He is the Alumni of prestigious International Visitor Leadership Programme (ILVP) by the U.S. Department of State. It is U.S. Government’s most prestigious professional exchange programs since 1940 for international opinion leaders.  He has been representing Govt. of Gujarat at various international forums and has made presentations and received awards on their behalf.

 

He holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), a Masters in Commerce, a Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights. Currently he is pursuing his Doctoral Studies in the area of Management.

Dr.Peter Carey

 

Past President, Life member and Fellow of the Career Development Association of Australia.

 

Prior to being elected President in 2005 to 2008, Peter served for 21 years on the National Executive, predominately as National Treasurer, chaired several sub-committees and was a founding member of the Association. He was an Executive member of the Tasmanian Division and currently serves on the Western Australian Division Executive Committee. Peter has been an organising committee member of several CDAA national conferences and has served on the board of the Career Industry Council of Australia.

 

Peter is Consultant: Digital Technologies for the Catholic Education Office of WA where he is responsible for assisting principals and teachers in learning, teaching and assessment. Peter also has done consultancy work for the University of Notre Dame, Edith Cowan University and the Curriculum Council. He has more than 30 years experience in the career development field, having worked with organisations and individuals in the public, private, community and education sectors including 

 

Peter’s research and work has been published in numerous Australian and international journals and he has been invited to speak at several national and international conferences. He regularly runs educational workshops in the field of career development and ICT with both School and business personnel.

 

He received a Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Contributions to the Curriculum Council presented by Minister of Education (presented 2010).  He was also recognised for his service by the Australian College of Educators. 

 

Peter holds a Bachelor and Master of Education from University of Tasmania and a Doctor of Education from Charles Sturt Univerity.  His expertise includes ICT consultancy, career development, staff and leadership development and talent management.
